Census Searches provides a service to the legal profession by:

  • Obtaining copies of birth, marriage and death certificates.
  • Obtaining copies of wills, grants of probate and letters of administration.

Census Searches also specialises in locating missing heirs to unclaimed estates, using its extensive archive of microfiche incorporating The General Register Office Indexes of Births, Deaths and Marriages from 1837 to date, thus enabling this type of enquiry, as well as many others in Egland and Wales, to be answered quickly.

The General Register of Births, Deaths and Marriages forms just part of Census Searches extensive records collection. Additional sources include the 1881 Census Returns of England and Wales, the 1851 Census Returns of Devon, Norfolk and Warwickshire and The International Genealogical Index. Fees for this service are estimated when search details are known.

Lord and Lady Teviot have themselves compiled The Sussex Burial Index covering the years 1813 to 1841, which also including non-conformist entries. The fee for searches to be made of this index is £5 and covers up to ten searches of the same surname. The service and fee is also the same for searches made using the Brighton Burial Index which holds full entries for 1842 to 1854 as well as partial listings for the years up to 1893 and for those searches made using the Late Baptismal Index 1837-1871 which covers forty parishes including Brighton.

Our organisation draws from over 25 years of experience in the genealogical field and provides a high standard of research within a competitive fee and costs sytem.

We look forward to being of assistance to you in the future.
